Wood Fired Taryeom Pot in Yellow

This piece has a lovely warm yellow tonal range, expressed through a thin coat of yellow slip over dark iron claybody and buncheong white slip. Signed by the artist, the pot was fired in a self built wood kiln. Parts of the pot exposed to the nearest part of the firebox have a bright vitrified surface, while the rest of the tones range from dark brown to yellow, reds, and greens. A stunning stand alone piece or equally beautiful coupled with a complementary color palette.
